Is your license plate renewal date approaching? If you’ve not yet gotten the #6 selling Pet Friendly license plate, this is your opportunity! The plate funds thousands of spay/neuter surgeries each year, leading to fewer animals entering shelters and increased adoption rates.

If you already have the plate and would like to encourage your friends to get this life-saving plate, check out this Bureau of Motor Vehicles chart to view the renewal dates.

SNSI Animal Welfare Conference Helps Move Indiana Forward

SNSI’s June 9th conference attracted 300 animal advocates to share information, learn and network. The day included a full and fast-paced agenda, designed to provide as much information as possible. The reviews were strong and positive.

The  future of Indiana’s cats and dogs is brighter, with hundreds of animal welfare advocates working together to best meet the needs of our state.

Thanks to our generous underwriters and sponsors for helping to make this conference a reality.

Plans are already underway for SNSI’s 2019 conference!

Owen County Needs Our Help

More than 80 animals entered the Owen County Humane Society as a result of a hoarding case. To help this small shelter, SNSI needs funding to fix these sweet cats and dogs so they’re adoption-ready. Can you help?

Lee Asher, Adoptable Dogs, and Drinking for a Good Cause

Not familiar with Lee? He’s the dog lover who is crossing the county in an RV, dubbed The Asher House  to increase awareness of shelter overpopulation and adoptable animals.

On June 5th, Lee was at Metazoa Brewing in Indianapolis, where SNSI’s Missy Patton caught up with him. The two discussed their mutual interest: clearing the shelters and getting to zero kill.  We’ll be sure to let you know when Lee is back in town!
